Africa – Continent of Hope. Actors-Changes-Movements. Loretto College, 70 St. Mary Street, Toronto. 7:00 p.m. Free Public Lecture. Renowned scholar on African society and Church, Rev. Agbonkhianmeghe E. Orobator, S.J., who is also the Provincial of the Eastern African Province of the Society of Jesus, will speak on the topic of Africa – Continent of Hope.
Rev. Orobator's writings include Theology Brewed in an African Pot (Orbis Books, 2008) and three other books published in Africa by Pauline Media. His most recent work is entitled Reconciliation, Justice, and Peace: The Second African Synod (Orbis Books, 2011). This is a rare opportunity to listen to someone deeply involved in the struggle for social justice, peace and reconciliation in Africa.

NET Interview Retreat. NET Ministries will be hosting an interview retreat for anyone under the age of 30 interested in serving with NET. The retreat starts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11 and continues until 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 12 at St. Isaac Jogues Parish in Pickering. NET is a Catholic Youth Movement of young adult missionaries, bringing youth to Christ across Canada. NET trains and sends out teams of young adults to schools and parishes conducting retreats, implementing youth ministry and equipping musicians for evangelization.
